Loreena McKennitt in Concert September 30/22
Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer, Loreena McKennitt, after a three-year hiatus from touring, is gearing up to hit the road again. She begins a tour of eight cities in Ontario and Quebec from September 30 to October 11, 2022.
Aptly named The Visit Revisited, the tour commemorates the 30th Anniversary of her Juno Award-winning album, The Visit. Released in 1991, the album has been certified four times platinum in Canada and gold in the United States.
Loreena McKennitt, who writes, records and performs world music with Celtic and Middle Eastern influences, is known for her refined and clear soprano vocals. Her music has won critical acclaim worldwide and gold, platinum and multi-platinum sales awards in 15 countries across four continents. She has sold more than 14 million records worldwide.
Since Loreena lives here, Stratford will be the beginning venue of her tour. We are So Lucky!!! Her preview concert will take place on September 30, in beautiful Knox Church, just a 10 minute walk from Mornington Rose. We have been fortunate enough to attend several of her concerts at the church, have most of her CD’s, and can only say that her “eclectic Celtic” music is magical!
